Flowerkittle were looking to refresh their website and visual identity to better showcase their work and engage more with their audience.

They were also in the process of establishing architectural studios in both Farnham and Bournemouth whilst wanting only one website. We spent some time early on discussing how best to structure and approach this, both from a website and SEO perspective.

They work with both old and new buildings, including those that are listed, within conservation areas, national parks and areas of outstanding natural beauty. So it was a joy to look through their portfolio and plan how we could best to display these varied and beautiful projects.

We made minor changes to the logo to make it more modern and friendly complimenting this with an elegant serif font used sparingly in headings.

The website needed to feel light, without being cold. We also wanted to bring a softer feel to compliment the photography. We brought softness and warmth by expanding the colour palette to include a pale peach and sand colours which sit comfortably with the natural colours and textures of the buildings. This combination provides a relaxed, light and human feel throughout the website.

Elegant and inspirational headings are scattered across the website in between large images to draw you into the projects. Each project comfortably holds a variety of photographs including full width, 16:9 and square to showcase both detail and more panoramic views.

We integrated their Instagram feed to bring more visibility to their channel and also populate their Progress page which is all done from a mobile phone onsite or wherever they are.

We undertook some SEO work which established them on the first page of Google for their two top key phrases within a month. I also provided key insights for how they can build their SEO visibility themselves as required.
